Pregnancy sessions are best between 35-37 weeks pregnant and take around 2 hours. We have all the wraps and gowns, I will pose you tastefully so you are thrilled with the results.
The Newborn session is best in the first 5-14 days to capture their curly newborn appearance. After 10-14 days of age they are more alert and the newborn ART style is harder to achieve leaving everyone feeling disappointed so I highly recommend working on doing it before 10 days if possible.
The babies tend to be more sleepy and will move less disturbed before 14 days old. The newborn session takes around 3 hours and is very relaxed. You can sit and enjoy while I slowly move your baby around and wait for he/she to sleep so I can pose them perfectly.
I photograph in my studio which I have very warm with heaters, electric blankets and all the tricks to keep them sleepy.
PLEASE NOTE: Newborn ART photography of curly newborns asleep is only done outside the 14 day timeframe if the parents or baby can not make it due to a baby being premature, Mum or baby not well enough to make it that soon or similar reasons and I will do my very best to try to achieve the special NEWBORN ART style given your circumstances, NEWBORN ART pricing still applies if you wish to aim for the NEWBORN ART style of sleepy curly newborn images shown in my newborn photography gallery. I do not do NEWBORN ART photography after 14 days unless the baby has been born very premature, it has simply proved to unsuccessful on babies older than 14 days.
Premature babies are able to be photographed in the NEWBORN ART style up to 14 days after their ORIGINAL due date. In some cases they have been up to 12 weeks old if born at 29 weeks gestation. They are still perfectly sleepy as if they were only one week old.
If you miss out on the NEWBORN ART session the next best thing is a Mini session anytime AFTER 4 weeks of age, I highly recommend around 7 months when they can sit up alone but before they crawl or walk, when we can capture the sweet smiles and cute little chubby bits about babies at this age.

The 14 day time frame does not apply to very premature babies, they are still fine photographed as Newborns up to 2 weeks after their original due date, although I would encourage you to get them in as soon as they are strong enough for best results and sleepy photos.
Parents and siblings are welcome to be involved in the photo session at no extra cost (except not for the Newborn Basic’s package, that is for baby only)
Package prints can be adjusted to suit your personal requirements.
Newborn sessions take priority over all other booking so you be certain to get your new baby photographed within the two week time frame.
Approximately 2-3 weeks after your newborn photography session you will return to your viewing appointment. This way you get to see what you want to buy, before you buy it! You will be able to take you images on USB the day of the viewing if the balance owing is paid via either cash or internet banking at the appointment. We will also select the images you wish to have printed as part of your package, so all the hard work is done! Prints will be done over the following week.
This is a highly specialised area of photography and I have worked particularly hard to become this competent at it. I am very passionate about my NEWBORN ART photography. I know you will love your photos!
